March 2022 Newsletter

Hello Everyone, 

Our theme for the month of March is: Composition.  From composing with chords, to writing melodies, and imitating our favorite pieces, our students will bring their own music into sound.  I anticipate the premiere of many originals at our Spring recital!  

Spring break for the studio runs from 3/19 through 4/3.  Following Spring break, we will begin to shift our focus to recital repertoire and putting the finishing touches on compositions. 

I am happy to report that the First Friday Art Walk at the America Building was a success! If you were unable to attend, mark your calendars for the first Friday in May, 6-9pm, when we will feature a new artist in the studio. I will also be opening up the space for our pianists to have a chance for some initial run-throughs of their recital pieces and compositions.  It will be a chance to showcase our progress and contribute our music to the art walk event. Jam sessions will inevitably occur between our students and guests….that includes you, parents!
